Much prefer it to Between Nothingness & Eternity, which has live versions of three of the tracks on TLTS. A must for MO fans, IMO.

^ That seems great and I see that it's with the original line-up. I'll definitely check that one out. Thanks! Thumbs Up

Original line-up, yes. It was supposed to be the follow up to Birds of Fire, but the band members disagreed whether to release it or not, so I guess releasing live versions of three of the tracks (BN&E) was some sort of compromise. A mistake, IMO, as, as I said, I much prefer the studio versions of those tracks.

Hey Sam! Yeah, work has been consuming me of late. Got a new job and its long hrs with a pretty physical duty to it. But, the beautiful thing is that as human beings we can adapt. :)
I am feeling much better with greater energy levels thanks in large part to some great Prog!

The Orb--Metallic Spheres. ( I like this one a lot. The bass extension is so clean and wildly thick! Beautiful recording, but the only thing I don't like is the vockills. Gilmour doesn't nail it here, but thankfully they are very sparse.)
Yes---Keys To Acension ( disc 2. Great 1996 live album. Loving this boxset. My god Anderson can sing. )
Threshold--Wonded Land ( I urge many here to give this a serious listen. It is such a strong debut album. )
Devin Townsend--Biomech (Ocean Machine)-- has its highs and lows, but mostly highs. Last 4 tracks are brilliant. Also, gearing up for Ziltoid 2!!! )
Arena--The Rapture (live album from 20111/2012 tour) disc 2 only ( Arena are making a real push to be one of my top 5 favourite bands that I cannot simply live without. ;)
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Ha, I never made it to that Kansas album, Sam! Down here in Australia, a very inexpensive 5 CD box set (that retailed for about $15 Aus) included the first five albums, and I felt that was perfection in a box and upon reading up on the band, I never went any further. Never heard the live album from around the same time either.

^ I think it's still a decent album and the rating is correct (it's a bit worse than Masque) but the difference is that I can imagine what path will they lead and it's not a very prog one. I will listen to the next album to see if my suspitions are correct.

Nektar - A Tab in the Ocean
Steve Roach - Structures From Silence (Really liked that one, it has such an hypnotic power. The title track sounds like an electronic ocean: he explores the soundscape and ocasionally comes back with a motif, just like the crushing waves Approve)
Agitation Free - Malesch (Midle-Eastern Floyd? Tongue)
Mahavishnu Orchestra - The Lost Trident Sessions (It surely deserves a place with their classic albums)
Moonspell - Irreligious

If you're a Kansas fan (I would consider anyone who gives an attentive ear to anything beyond Leftoverture and Point of Know Return), Monolith is worth your time.  Not even close to their best, but I would consider it a 3  star album for fans.  I digress from the topic at hand.

Dream the Electric Sleep - Heretics - my current fave.
Miles Davis - Workin' - one of the best from pre-modal Miles IMHO.
Dream Theater - Systematic Chaos - underrated
Shostakovich - Symphony 6 - Stokowski/Philadelphia Orchestra - brilliant first recording downloaded from Internet Archive.
I am the funkiest man on the planet!

I would probably rate it with 3 stars as well. As I said, I think its rating is correct, 3.2. What's your opinion on the next one?
