No Michael we are talking about the same band and yes you are right they are from Belgium, I'm not talking about the Dragon that are in the Suggest new bands thread right now. I'm just listening to it for the second time today and I know why you feel like this about the vocals but still I don't mind them at all, great music though! My friend I believe Luciano Basso would fit your collection perfectly. Keys are the main attraction here but nothing bombastic, it's a little classical inspired just like so many Italian keyboard players we know. It's not all keyboards all the time, the sound is complete and warm, I think it's a great album. Man please check out the second side of this album ( I would give you a link but I'm on my phone right now) Check out the songs Voci and Echo which makes for the whole second side, beautiful music my friend, I'm sure you'll love it, and I'm sure the guys at the den will approve

Never heard that live album from Roskilde by Fields of Nephilim, but now that I know of it, I'm definitely going to track it down. Thanks for the heads up
Oh and great The Orb choice! I bought it a little while back (based on a recommendation from Michael I believe - thanks Kangaroo  ), and it is never more than a couple of feet away from my stereo.

`Not of This World' has a ton of great stuff on it (I personally rate it higher than `The Window of Life'), but I think perhaps it's far too long, Sagi? I haven't checked, but it surely must run for close to the full capacity of a CD, so close to 80 minutes??  The wrestling album!!! Well, there's a wrestler on the front cover at least! I haven't dug out my LP reissue of `Afreaka' in years!

Yes there's the length issue, my copy has two bonus tracks (or maybe all copies are like that) so yes it's almost 80 minutes. But it's not only that, I feel the album has no surprises and overall the material itself is not that strong plus it's too melodic (if there's such a thing) I'd like Barrett to break from that Gilmour like soaring guitars, like he does in other albums. Don't get me wrong it's good but I'm not excited at all. I have another album at my parents house I suspect, it's either Window Of Life or The World, I haven't heard them in ages so I can't remember anything about them, do you know these?

You have he exact same CD as me, it's got `Painbox' and something else as acoustic bonus tracks? I think `The World' is the slightly stronger of the two, but pretty much everyone except me adores `The Window of Life', so what do I know?! I think the problem is that I heard many tracks off it live, so the studio versions sound quite flat in comparison. Man, I loathe that `Give it 'a me!!' section on `Not of this World', slapped in between the title track and `Green Eyed Angel'. Makes me cringe, but it's not quite as painful as `The Pursuit of Excellence' off `The Masquerade Overture'! Man, that track is dire, good thing it's so short!

Sam, I haven’t played PFM’s `Passpurtu’ in a few years. I remember being a little annoyed that it was fairly straightforward (if still nicely played)back then, but a fresh spin is required  Tonight’s choices: Gentle Giant – Three Friends Pink Floyd – Ummagumma (studio disc) Ars Nova – Fear and Anxiety Yes – Yessongs P.F.M – Paper Charms: disc 1 (great live show, just wish they’d edited out the dorky host in between each track!) P.F.M – Serendipity (a 2000 studio album, not exactly a return to full prog, but it’s at least a gutsy rock album) Clive Nolan – Alchemy (“Amelia, my guiding liiiiiiiiiight!!” Sing it with me, Nick!)

Passpartu is a decent listen - My fave track being E Se Fosi Cosa (? off the top of my head).
Not Of This World is possibly the perfect Pendragon for me. Window is quite excellent too.

It's indeed really nice, very relaxing but still interesting, not something to listen on background How was that fresh spin of that Wakeman album? I used to think the repetitive ending was not so good, but now I can appreciate it.

Sam, I like the music on the Wakeman one, but the endless vocals absolutely kill it for me. Ashley Holt is not a vocalist I enjoy, and he DOMINATES much of that disc. I didn't even make it through the total first side, so please let me know if the rest of the album is worth bothering with. I love `Ummagumma', although would I listen to it all the time - NO! Actually when I spun it the other night on my Ipod, I hadn't listened to it in years, and other than skipping Roger's `Small Species, etc' etc right in the middle , I think the album is terrific. A nice balance of their earlier acid sound, avant-garde experiments and future proggy ambitions....and I'm absolutely certain there's little traces similar to a few Krautrock bands in a few spots as well! Glad you dug the Arena one, definitely a great album.
