First up today:

Hole in the Wall - s/t

My first full listen to this, the debut album from these Norwegian 70's country rockers. I've seen them labelled progressive rock a few places, but that's a bit far-fetched, although this album does contain some nice touches of psychedelic rock. Not my favourite genre, country rock, but I can take it small doses, especially if it's of good quality, which this is, for the most part.

Then:

Genesis - Foxtrot
Genesis - Live
Genesis - Selling England by the Pound
Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
Genesis - Trick of the Tail
Genesis - Wind & Wuthering

Cyrax-- Pictures. ( A nice new discovery for me. Great sweeping keyboards in vain of that beautiful RPI genre. ;)

Rush--Different Stages ( all 3 discs)
Rush--The worlds a stage.
Rush--Chronicles - disc 1 only
Rush --moving pictures ( on a fine blu ray audio quality 24/96 PCM 5.1 surround ! Yowza! )
Rush--hold your fire
Rush--Vapor trails(remix). - omg so much better than the original.

Tonights choices:

Patrick Vian – Bruits et Temps Analog

New Trolls – Concerto Grosso

Funny Michael I listened to this Patrick Vian album a few days ago for the first time, I got it from a friend who was looking to get rid of his LP collection about six months ago. I didn't know what it was and he couldn't explain what it was either, he just said that if I liked vintage keyboards than I should check it out.
Anyway you know I'm no expert on electronic music but I did enjoy it, it also had some cool guitar playing too, what did you think of it?

Sagi, I wondered if you might know that one! I just took a chance on it without hearing a second of the music, a CD remaster/reissue appeared on one of Greg Walker's recent Syn-Phonic updates, so I only had the description to go on!

But if it's an electronic album, it's still got tons of nice electric guitar playing over the top of it, kind of giving it a bit of a fusion sound, or maybe drifting a little closer to a more obvious version of the later Ashra albums? I quite liked it, but I'm back in at work tonight so will give it another spin then!
