Listened to the original vinyl recording of "Watercolour Days". I was struck by the difference in sound  quality between that and the 2012 CD - almost like a different recording, the CD is vastly superior.  I suppose the pressing process left a lot to be desired in those days, almost random results. I know that some of my vinyl recordings are actually better than the CD versions, so it can't be just a simple case of CD being automatically better than vinyl.

I just found how lovely the album by Steven Wilson's The Raven That Refused To Sing. It progress very well from the heavy composition slowly lighten to soft progression until the final song. This is highly suggested but I think you'll need to listen over and over to get it.
