I've read 20th Century Ghosts by Joe Hill, it's awesome! I'ts a short-story compilation. His style is more similar to Ray Bradbury than Stephen King, though.

I liked Under the Dome, even if the ending was not really that great.

Yes, I did. I thought the idea of the characters discussing Abendsen's alternate history novel within the alternate history they inhabited interesting, sort of like a story within a story.

Try a few of his more sci-fi oriented ones and see what you think. I enjoyed Maze Of Death, Ubik, and Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch.

Desmond Morris' The Naked Ape(Funniest book about human evolutionary history ever)

Tyler Hamilton's The Secret Race read in Norwegian - quite the experience - and far better than what I originally had thought.

F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. (A somewhat difficult read - but once I got the hang of the ins and outs of 1925 American lingo, it turned out infinitely better than the horrible film with Robert Redford. He writes with such eloquence and natural curiosity about his surroundings, that I found myself time and time again actually tasting the sentences like ripe fruit.

Douglas Adams' Life. The Universe And Everything. Pure indulgence in one of the most innovative, funny and clever minds of the post war authors. This one in particular made me laugh like a hysterical person while sitting in the airport waiting for my plane to board. People are evidently not accustomed to readers flipping out in public...

Jack Kerouac's timeless classic On The Road: Original script. One long speeding apotheosis to life itself going a 150 from start to finish. An old soul relegating a new heading in the midst of the American underground culture to the spur of the moment mentality and the soundtrack of the freeflowing Bebop zooming out of the dirty beat down jazz clubs. Must've read this thing 10 times by now - i still get a life exploding jolt of pure energy every time I read it.
