Finished all three Lies of Locke Lamora books by Scott Lynch after borrowing them from my brother.  Pretty good.  Going to read Naked Lunch Dune next.

I've also resumed writing reviews for my GoodReads account, including quite a few expanded versions of reviews I've posted in this thread.

Phantom Shot: Eyewitnesses Solve the JFK Assassination

Very interesting and well-documented premise claims there were only two shots fired in Dallas, not the three to four established by the various investigations.

and then there's this bizarre one about a Doctor who claims she was involved in viral cancer research for the government and worked with Oswald
Dr. Marys Monkey: How the Unsolved Murder of a Doctor, a Secret Laboratory in New Orleans and Cancer-Causing Monkey Vi

Re reading "Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, forgot how brilliant it was.
Actually makes me laugh out loud, or leaves me with a profound feeling, on nearly every page.

Under the Dome by Stephen King is a bad-ass novel. If you live in a small community please read this! So accurate haha

Because almost everyone else here have been reading J. G. Ballard and I haven't read him since high school, last week I went to the library and picked up an anthology of short stories by him:

Has everything I remember liking about JGB: The very British sardonic sense of satirical humour, the outlandish but insightful sociological thought experiments as central story premises and the obsession with control mechanisms' role in society.

I enjoy reading 'out there' conspiracy books...might give those 2 a try. I have read several of Jim Marrs books also.
His book Alien Agenda is a fun read as well as Rule By Secrecy.

At the same time as the JG Ballard short story anthology, I'm also reading...

Anthology of early JL Borges short stories whose common theme is man's inhumanity to man. It's less experimental in character, but also more overtly satirical in content than the other collection of his I read.

Ah, I read it a year or so ago. Was curious how I'd like it seeing the movie first...
Probably no shocker, I liked it even more in book form.

The book has all the charm of the movie and more so.  All the best bits of the movie are basically verbatim from here.  A breeze to read.
