Love 'em! Thumbs Up Brighton-based band with links to Diagonal (Eclectic) and Autumn Chorus (Crossover). These guys do have some Kraut flourishes and an ambient spacey vibe at times but they describe themselves as ''Neo-monastic byzantine psych art-rock'' and I can see why they are compared with Talk Talk in some quarters. Strong alt-rock feel, music is largely consonant and not really experimental enough for Kraut. One for the Crossover Team I think.

Thanks for that!  I've been meaning to recommend these guys for over a year, but for some reason kept not doing it!

I voted YES.
There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

Hehe, I'm not quite as intimidating in real life. Here with one of the lesser known artists in the Progarchives database enjoying pizza and beer in Manhattan somewhere two weeks ago (if I manage to get this link stuff to work...).

Yeah great pic!

Also I had a feeling you'd look more Scandinavian in real life Olav

A great picture indeed. I had a really nice time with Karen, hope to hook up with her again in the forseeable future.

The most Scandinavian aspect of me is probably how tall I am. At 189 cm I kind of towered above the majority of people I encountered in the US. With a rather broad frame as well it lead to a few funny reactions when some people saw me for the first time *laughs*

I'm guessing a fair few comments about vikings eh?LOL

I know, I'm similar sized and that's what I get when I bump into people from the states.

Anything over a meter is just for show anyways, KeishiroTongue
I wouldn't worry about it.
