Well, that's ok, but to say that all the Genesis music in the 80's and 90's is dancing or disco is just an exaggeration out of reality.
You know, once Voltaire said something like thist "I do not share your opinion but I would do anything for you can express freely"
So that is, probably we could never agree at this point.

Hey man, right on, briiliant Voltaire! Didn't know his phrase. Of course Genesis 80's and 90's are definitely not all just for that, what i wanted to mean is that even being composed by Banks i felt that song having a rather different style, but maybe you are right, i've got to download it and give it another spin in order to compare with my first impressions...

Hey, just for the record - I recall seeing chicks dancing to Sorrow when I saw the AMLOR tour in '88. I even remember seeing chicks trying to get their dancing mojo on during a Sting concert. The song was St. Augustine In Hell, and it s in 7/8 time !!! Looked quite amusing..... But I can see how Domino (part II) could be considered 'disco'. The band Chicago had 'Street Player', which is a kick- ass tune, but quite 'disco'. Cool groove from the Cetera/Seraphine rhythm team too!!!

I don't think Banks thought let me do disco beat---I think there's a part of One for the Vine with a kind of 4 on the floor "disco" beat---which came years before Domino.

The best thing is that we agree about Voltaire words, the rest just a detail

Yes, Banks did disco beat, if not listen to The Fugitive for example, and of course you can find some disco beats into several tracks he wrote, but I am not agree with the idea that all that he did en the 80`s is disco music, just this...

Same here. I know some people rate Sorrow pretty highly, but it's never done it for me. I prefer Dogs of War and One Slip, from that album.

I know Dolina of course, but as I usually do not listen radio, I almost know nothing about this program, and less about its relation with Voltaire. In fact it results more interesting to me this Voltaire's phrase and maybe some thoughts of him than Voltaire himself. Well, I think that Dolina is popular in some spheres.

Though I would also add "In the Turning Away" and "Terminal Frost" (I hope I got the name right)... oh yeah, and "Yet Another Movie". Specially the live versions of Turning Away and Another Movie songs.
