Maybe I should further explain myself, or clarify my statements.  When I talked about eliminating Neo and Symphonic, I was referring to the fact that those two weren't included on the list of subgenres at that time.  I think when people relatively unfamiliar with progressive music hear the term progressive or art rock, they would first think of Genesis, Yes, or Pink Floyd.  Even Pink Floyd could be considered as being close to symphonic prog.
