How was PA in the very beginning?

This was not very far from reality trying to "discuss" prog on Usenet in the late 90s.

Been here since '05. Can't say much has changed other than 30 new sub genre's being added, an individual band or artist's page top albums section being removed, and some old members disappearing and new one appearing. Oh and Yes vs Genesis polls.

mp3 downloading on this site is a big reason I got into a lot of bands, and why I originally stuck around.

This thread proves that even though many members from the 04/05/06 days still lurk, and just don't sign in.

It's amazing to see the original PA site, and see how few bands were listed. No place then for Can, Hawkwind, or even Jethro Tull!

while many, unfortunately not all, but most of my friends here followed me over to FB one I really miss is the uniqueness that was Mandy.

One of the great hightlights of the PA's era was that meeting of 4/5ths of the Italian prog team at the Le Orme concert in Padova.  What a special evening that was. Mandy was a trip, Andrea C the gentleman and scholar and flat out liar he was to tell Aldo I travelled all the way from the US just to see him hahahah.

Does Mandy still post here, or write his always interesting reviews hahah
