Dragged into Sunlight's Hatred for Mankind, and as you can imagine from the very-unsafe-for-work cover art it's some of the vilest nastiest stuff to come out of the metal scene in the new millennium. It's very sludgy black metal that's oddly complex in how the song structures switch adeptly between very different riffing styles, and has a lot of subtle influences from weirdo punk bands like Crass and Rudimentary Peni (as well as use of audio samples of interviews with criminals) that make the resulting music feel more "realistic" than other black metal.
Something about that bizarre anarcho-punk influence also makes their music feel like a very quintessentially British take on black metal, something that's pretty rare. Edited by Toaster Mantis - November 28 2014 at 13:49 |

"You'll Never Play This Town Again" One of the best noise rock albums I've yet heard. It's a compilation of a bunch of EPs and singles that are otherwise hard to find but it holds together as a mammoth marathon of crazy sounds. Adris Hoyos (drums, vocals) is my latest dream date. |
