Nice trade (for me).

I actually think Melissa flows better as an album, even though Don't Break the Oath might have the strongest individual songs. The two compilations of early rarities, In the Beginning and Return of the Vampire also come highly recommended if you haven't heard them.

This reminds me that I never liked King Diamond's solo albums after Abigail that much, that's not-so-coincidentally also the last one Michael Denner played on and afterwards KD began moving away from the MF signature sound.

Maybe that's just me being closed-minded though.

The S/T debut LP of a Danish grindcore bands some of whose members I know personally, and whose name is not safe for work at all. They've got some weird angular riffing, with an almost industrial vibe that seems inspired by Killing Joke. (or perhaps early Voivod adapted to a grindcore vibe)

ahhh.  Great album to kick the day and weekend off with. Better than the smoke and Raff's coffee to wake up with.

I sense the beginning of a JA/JS/S marathon today.
