Minstrel in the Gallery recently overcame A Passion Play as my favorite Jethro Tull album ever.
"Baker St. Muse" is the greatest song Jethro Tull ever crafted. |

If we're talking song I'd go with Minstrel, easily. The song that got me into Tull (and subsequently prog), and still my favourite Tull track. |

Songs from the Wood does not have one bad track on it. This.
Minstrel contains Black Satin Dancer; some people like it, I dislike it lots. I also don't care too much for Baker St Muse....it promises everything, but just goes nowhere IMHO.

100% agreed. Their magnum opus. The flow of the album is superlative, as well. I just wish the remaster didn't have a persistent high-pitch whine (think 19+ kHz) throughout. Mastering engineer probably couldn't hear that frequency.

Minstrel by far for me; the perfect JT IMO. I like Songs as well, but at times a little too cheery for me lol.
