Hi, I'm Max from Italy, 18, and I'm quite excited to be part of this forum. I've always used Progarchives to discover new bands, so I hope that through discussion with other people I can discover even more.
Prog is one of the genres I love the most, together with Post Rock and various Metal subgenres. These are the main types of music I listen to, but I'm not that strict of course, and I'm always ready to know more. My early listens (ignoring the MTV bands I grew up with) were classics like Genesis, Yes, Rush... The big ones, you see. Then I developed an interest towards a darker and more experimental side of prog (VdGG, Townsend, maudlin of the Well, Kayo Dot etc.), and that's the kind of music I look for, mostly.
Regarding the reason for me joining this community, it's simple: I just love discussing music. So I hope I'll have a nice time here. I'm sure I will!

Well, no, I didn't know it. Awesome song! I'm already happy! I forgot to say that actually I don't know that much music (generally the big names and some smaller acts), since this is kind of a "recent" interest for me. So, probably, a big part of the suggestions I'll get will be new to me. I'm thankful for this!

Well, if you enjoyed Triptykon (they have two albums out - happy listening) then you might also enjoy Tom Fischer's former band Celtic Frost.
