Santa Sabina was a Mexican band that started its career in the early 90's. The band's original line-up was Rita GUERRERO (vocals), Alfonso FIGUEROA (bass), Pablo VALERO (guitar), Patricio IGLESIAS (drums) and Jacobo LIEBERMAN (keyboards). The band's music is very eclectic: their influences include middle eastern and hindu music mixed with hard rock, jazz and even avant-garde.
The second album of the band was produced by KING CRIMSON's frontman Adrian BELEW, he actually played guitar in some tracks of the album and that gave SANTA SABINA the chance to be the opening act in the shows KING CRIMSON gave in Mexico City in 1996.
The band published 5 studio albums from 1992 until 2003 among some very interesting live albums. Vocalist Rita GUERRERO died in 2011 and the rest of the band had reunited in several occasions.
