.......yep. It's me alright.

I'm a huge fan of Dream Theater, and am a regular poster on the new Dream Theater forums (http://www.dreamtheaterforums.com). I've been discovering new music a lot recently (well, new to me anyway Wink), and I'm a big fan of guys like Arcturus, Behold...the Arctopus, Dali's Dilemma, Devin Townsend band, Gordian Knot, Liquid Tension Experiment, The Lord Weird Slough Feg, Mr. Bungle, Pelican, Planet X, Green Carnation, Spastic Ink, Spiral Architect, System of a Down, Umphrey's McGee, and Vanden Plas.

I drum to pretty much anything with Portnoy on the stool; I love playing to him. Here's my set (I've changed it a bit since these pics):

I am also able at keys, guitar, bass, and clarinet, though I'm not all that proficient on them.

A warm welcome from me.

I like Arcturus also, great couple of albums.

can I interest you into listening to Magma (try the streaming on their disco-page) or magma and assorted bands

Since you are a drummer, it might appeal to you.

I'm open to any new suggestions. I'll check them out when I get home. I usually get at least one new album each day recently. :D

I own 2112, thought the title track was good (the rest not so much). And King Crimson, I'm still looking for a CD of "Red!" (great album)

I'll look into VDGG.

LOLLOLLOL

I think we should resume our action in that respect... We've been keeping too low a profile recently, and the result has been a recrudescence of DT threads.Wink

Seriously... Welcome, Talon! Hopefully you'll like it here!Clap

yes.. hopefully he will....

anyway.. I think we should my dearest.. we have for far too long.. the fear we used to instill as we trampled their precious threads under our hooves, has subsided. Only now are those threads coming back.  We shall ride again.. but this time.. not alone...

well now that we have expanded our hold on PA's

I introduce.. the symphonic/AR/PRI horsemen....LOL

always have we loved putting the fear of audible bass, tasteful guitar solos, and actual singing not caterwauling, into the acne scarred masses.  We have been away from awile.. enjoying ..and earning our new found.. respectability. The time has come.. to don masks and ride... ride....  ride

I guess this poor guys thread is just a warmup LOL Oh ..those were good times weren't they Raff....

As an Admin, I shouldn't be hijacking welcome threads, but I feel a response is in order here... as I've been accused of inventing wordsTongue!

Check this, please:
http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/netdict?recrudescence

There is also the title of a Rudyard Kipling ghost story, "The Recrudescence of Imray", also known as "The Return of Imray".
