Agents Of Mercy/Karmakanic - 09/26/2009 - MOVIE - Bielefeld

It was a great evening for those few who found the way to the MOVIE - first of all because of some pearls taken from the KARMAKANIC album 'Who's The Boss in The Factory'.

Eight musicians in total were on the stage which is not very big - a confined situation - and it was really hard to catch some photos avoiding microphone stands in front of the faces.

left to right:
- Krister Jonsson: guitars
- Göran Edman: vocals
- Jonas Reingold: bass
- Zoltan Csörsz: drums
- Inger Ohlen-Reingold vocals & percussion
- Nad Sylvan: vocals & Mellotron
- Lalle Larsson: piano & synthesizer
- Roine Stolt: guitars

they played two sets with the same line-up - the first one offering AGENTS OF MERCY songs which I didn't know before. Of course Nad Sylvan and Roine Stolt took a more important role here. The set started very good but in my opinion the whole compositions could not really start a fire.

After a break the second set initiated with 'Send a message from the heart' and it was immediately clear what the 'crowd' wanted to have presented. Enthusiastic applause for the slightly modified songs including 'Two Blocks From the Edge' and the melancholic 'Eternally'.

The band was in a very good mood, the sound mix was excellent on top of it - a concert highlight in 2009 at least for me who really likes the current KARMAKANIC album!

I saw the show here in Detroit last night and it was excellent.  Sounds like it was a similar format in regards to song orders and musicians.  The only difference being that Nick D'Virglio from Spock's Beard played drums, and Inger Ohlen-Reingold did not perform.  I thought that it was an excellent show and might post more when I have more time.

I saw them last Saturday at Calprog and it was a great set of music. Loved NVD on drums. I believe the Karmakanic was more intense but Agents of Mercy was far better than the CD.  Nice to hear these guys playing outside of the FK box.

Speaking outside of the FK box were they playing the 3rd World Electric CD before the show and during their intermission.  That was some sweet jazz music in the vein of the Weather Report.

The City Theatre in Detoit would like to extend it's warmest appreciation to all
those who saw the show last night and to the band and crew who came together
to make this a very special night!  Truly one of the greatest performances the theatre
has ever had the pleasure of hosting.

Detroit was honored by all in attendance!!!  Thank you very much!!

Sadly, Mr. Stolt is getting older. Wish I could see these bands, since Who's the Boss in the Factory is beyond words.

I saw them in Belgium. Superb show, and great sound as always.

Unfortunately the band didn't hang around very long afterward, due to them deciding to hit the road straight after the gig.

I also took a few photos...
