I'm a very big Pink Floyd fan, and about a year ago, I started getting into prog music. My 10 favorite prog artists are Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, King Crimson, Primus, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, ELP, Tool, Yes, and Rush. I pretty much hate Punk, and other genres I like are Rap, Thrash metal, Alternative rock & alternative metal, and heavy metal. My favorite non-prog band is Metallica. That's a bit of my musical taste.

Welcome! I love most of the things you listed and like the rest! I hope you find some good music here!

Hawkwind was one of the pioneers of space rock correct? And I enjoyed that song. Thanks for posting it.

Hawkwind were indeed one of the earlier bands to take on that style. You might have encountered the vocalist in this vid in another and radically different band btw - The Meads of Asphodel.
Thanks for suggesting them. I'll be sure to check them.

Meads is radically different though *laughs*
Here's a tidbit from the obscure and original department meanwhile - from an unrelated project called Quodia - one of the numerous King Crimson related bands out there ;-)
