I've just started to listen to De La Soul's De La Soul is Dead (nearly 25 years after its release... Yeah, I took the time): some excellent tracks, but it confirms that I don't have the patience for a 60 minutes hip-hop LP.
More contemporary, I also listened to Anti-Pop Consortium's Arrythmia (only ten years late this time...): instant hit for me. Even more contemporary, Ill Chemistry's first album (released last year), even if this duet explains being rather influenced by the hip-hop of late 80's/early 90's. Not bad, even if not all tracks are really strong. |
