I find this to be amon my 10 favourite bands, whoms Music really gives me energy, and makes me feel uplifted and happy.

So much frangrances and colours to their Music, masters of layerd harmonies, and exoticness, crisp, artsy and so full of thought-intriguing moments.

truly great vocal work, from to exelent vocalists, and good guitar work by Roland.

This band was a 'fever' of the young people in the night clubs during the 80's in Rio de Janeiro, of course I also couldn't get 'out' of this big party of the new wave bands that sometimes seemed to be all over the places and all the radios up to the extreme of oftenly disputing the premiere scene usually occupied by the MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) artists and the funk pop groups.

Well to be honest I should not vote because I was not a fan of them, but as I liked some songs and still would like to hear again Head Over Heels for example - that keyboard's intro as much as the rest of it - I just googled what is this song's album and voted for Songs From The Big Chair. Anyway if you had opened a thread about Simple Minds I would feel much more comfortable to participate.

I've only heard the first three, but I intend to hear the others eventually.  It'll be hard to beat the first two, which came out in the middle of my teen years and which fascinated me to no end.  Not even sure which of the first two I'd pick.  Maybe a slight edge to Big Chair.

It's good to see some Tears for Fears love on these boards; what an awesome group! Of course, Songs From The Big Chair gets my vote. I remember being hooked on their sounds at a very early age. Great thread!

My favorite pop group.  They transport me to my childhood.  I too selected Songs from the Big Chair, but The Hurting is easily a close second.

The Seeds, followed by Raoul. Big Chair's not bad either, but songs such as 'Advice for the Young at Heart', 'Woman in Chains', 'Badman's Song' and 'Famous Last Words' - and the Beatles-influenced title track too - are excellent, well crafted pop.

Love all the albums, can't pick a favourite. Raoul... might be the more consistent one.

Everybody Loves a Happy Ending is my favourite album. It is so diverse and rich and really shows what a unique songwriter Roland is. It would have made the perfect follow-up to Songs From The Big Chair.
