Dont forget Brazilian band Quaterna Requiem |
Of course Quaterna requiem - great band, love both their albums.
Have you heard Argentinian Quaker yet? Might be of interest for you, I guess.. |
Nop, not yet, what do they sound like?
You have great tastes eugene, so i will check Quaker ASAP |
Thanks memowakeman.
Quaker clearly following footsteps of early King Crimson adding more of fusion elements to it.
Most of all they are reminding me one French band which I like a lot, namely - 4/3 De Trio. Also some resemblances to their countrymen Tanger and Chilean fusion band Tryo can be found in their music, but the band is no clone whatsoever. This is a brand new band and they are not in Archives yet probably just because not many people heard of them so far. I got to know about them by sheer coincidence when I was purchasing last Tanger's album Ciudad (which I like a lot as well).
I bought Quaker's only album "Autocritica" purely on impulse and did not regret one single cent I spent on it - I am delighted actually by this discovery. Highly recommended !
