Pt 1 is a good song on Images and Words. Pt 2 is redeemed only by the decent Home.

Do you have to bring a downer on Chopper who bought the CD? He already says he likes it and this isn't a thread about criticizing it.

Pt 1 is the best DT song, Pt 2 is the best DT album. Wink

Imo scenes of a memory is a great album, but images and words still takes the cake as the best DT album.

Actually having checked the covers, I think it was their debut CD not Images & Words (godawful cover, that's why I remember it).

Where is that SALE???!!!!! I need Scenes from a Memory!!!!

You mean after all that info you gave me, you don't have it?

It's in HMV, I got it in Lakeside, Essex, probably a bit of a trip for you.

This is an answer to both dogs: I do have the album and I do read where it was the album on sale. It was to make the emphasis that I need the "legal" copy of the album. It's hard to find in Guatemala and in a very high price, so I have a copy of the copy of my brother... so I "have it" but I have to buy it now...

The expression was to show you my determination to have it, I need a legal official copy in my hands... OK...?
Yep. I guess it's not worth the price of a flight to the UK to get a cheap copy though.

You can always be kind and send him the tickets.LOL

Cheaper to send the CD.

What about budget airlines?
I only accept it if the tickets inlcuded a ticket to see a Manchester United football game. If don't, I would reject it...!!! LOL
Oh on, I was just about to post you the air tickets. Sadly Man Utd tickets are hard to come by - it must be all those people wanting to laugh at Rooney.

Images & Words is definitely worth having, besides containing some great music (much more than just Metropolis Pt 1) it can be considered an historical album for the prog-metal genre.
But it is a bit more immature than Metropolis Pt 2.
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence is a must-have as well.

Oh, I guess I will buy it through Internet. If it wasn't to see Man Un, there's nothing to see over England... sorry... Wink

No working class teams... sorry... LOL
Change the program inside... Stay in silence is a crime.

Hola Juan!! Have you tried eBay? My cousins in Honduras have purchased some albums thru there. I guess the issues is finding a vendor who will ship to Guatemala.
I broke my PT2 CD and found another one on eBay for US6 delvd to my house. I use eBay a lot, CD are cheap and they DO have the UPC code which I verify with the record label to make sure it is the same, not some illegal copy.
But I also use Zune Marketplace which is subscription service to download all the music I want.

Good luck

EDIT: BTW....Metro PT2 is amazing album!!! For sure one of my favorites.....

There's a live DVD with the whole of Metropolis part 2, perhaps you would be interested in that one too. I also like 6 degrees a lot, but for contrary reasons than most: I love CD 1, but find CD 2 (the actual 6 degrees song ) rather dull. However, for proggers certainly CD 2 is the most interesting part. I also think you might like to check out the song "Octavarium" from the album of the same name, that is one of my very favourite epics, and one of the favourite DT songs on this site.

True, quite true. I just bought this at a sale, just to own a legal copy instead of the one I ripped when I was a kid back in the day. My girlfriend has always said, that DT is something she'll probably never learn to like. Now she was pretty surprised, that this is the same band than on, say, Octavarium, and she really liked this. A lot more melodic. There was a lot of melodies in metal back in the 90's :)
