#1 is #1 song in the history of music. #2 has the best piano introduction and best guitar solo in prog history, and #3 is so good, no matter if sung by Gabriel, Collins, or Ray Wilson!

The Prog Gods forbid any of those classic Genesis songs should be sung by Ray Wilson. LOL

I beg to differ

That's exactly what I meant!

Voting is closed.
No. 1 song is... Supper's Ready !!!

01. Supper's Ready. 75 pts [16;17]
02. Firth of Fifth. 39 pts [2;13]
03. The Cinema Show. 32 pts [4;9]
04. The Musical Box. 20 pts [0;8]
05. Watcher of the Skies. 11,5 pts [1;4]

Number in [x ; y] = number of first place votes ; number of total votes.

29 users cast their vote. Maximum points total is 29 x 4.5 = 130.5
Supper's Ready got over 57% of total points.

If you find this poll has ended too soon, please let me know in the comments. For better or worse, Supper's Ready dominated from the very beginning and it's unlikely the competition would catch up.
Voting for #2 will start later today - look for a corresponding thread on this subforum! Wink

Crikey! That's a resounding win for Supper's Ready even though it wasn't in my Top 3, although it's nice to see the three Genesis songs I voted for in the Top 5. Smile

It was always going to be Supper's Ready, after all it was voted the number one prog song in Prog magazine.

Supper's Ready does have the advantage of being a side-long prog epic at 23 minutes long. Smile

It's not all about length you know.

The length itself doesn't mean much - but some voters might feel it's more fitting to reward longer songs as they are usually more complex and awe-inspiring. I think the illusion of grandeur and talent is much stronger in 20+ minutes long pieces. Nevertheless, Supper's Ready is truly deserving of its praise, in my opinion.
