I admire this site a great deal, but for the kind of reviews I can really swim around in, I have to go with ProgressiveWorld.

Definitely MTV.com. As well as keeping me up to date on what I should be listening to, they also tell me how to dress, talk, and act according to trends! I barely even have to think for myself anymore!

I've looked at a few others, and none share Progarchive's... character.
Don't bother looking anywhere else.

By the by, I really am no longer KPG, seriously.

I choose Prog Archives of course, has an excellent  reviews section and a great forum.

GEPR is my favorite consult site, you can find almost every band, but it has no forum.

Allmusic is a terrible web site, inaccurate reviews and data plus a clear pop orientation, is even worst since they change format and full of spyware.

I chose progarchives, of course! I know there are many other prog sites, but progarchives is complete and generous, so that i don't have the need to look elsewhere for progressive stuff.

if I want to learn more about other musical genres like new age, pop and hard rock, i go to rateyourmusic.com , they have a solid general database.

From what i've seen this very site is the best in the fact that it is precise (for the most part) and very in depth for all the bands it has. A variety of reviews and great layout. So what it isnt varied, it doesnt claim to be your best resource for all styles, just prog.

http://www.babyblaue-seiten.de/

Very good german prog site which includes artists I would like to be featured in the progarchives, namely Kate Bush, Kevin Gilbert, Rupert Hine.

I voted "Other". If I had to choose one, Proggnosis would be my choice.

http://www.proggnosis.com/

But I'm glad that I don't have to choose, since AMG and ProgArchives are useful sites, too.

Of course THIS SITE is my favourite. But allmusic.com has a lot more to offer (other styles). From Classical to Jazz to Punk to Prog. They've got it all. Fantastic site!

AMG is a mediocre site at best.  Their information can be painfully inaccurate, their reviews and ratings often fail to correspond (they'll write a glowing review and give the album 2 stars), and their new layout is a pain to nagivate.  Not to mention they have painfully little information on numerous prog bands, which is why I love this site.

But yeah, RYM will forever be my favorite.  I actually was asked to come here to write reviews on the basis of my RYM reviews.

^^^

Allmusic is still better Progarchives. Although I'll admit, very few sites can get interviews with some of my fav artists.

RYM's a groovy place (though I don't think I'll ever get round to adding all the albums I own! Currently I've only got about an eighth of them listed!), but the very best music site must surely be RIGHT HERE!
