Ian Anderson and Martin Barre trading acoustic licks. One great acoustic tune.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

Isolation Years by Opeth. I nearly cried the first time I heard it. This would've been an especially awkward sight as I was at the gym at the time lol

Does Wondrous Stories count? If so, that is my favourite.
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

Oh, sh!t ... too many to name. Bert Jansch is not a band, but he wrote a whole freaking slew of great acoustic tunes (though "Veronica" and "Alice in Wonderland" are not songs 'cause they ain't got any lyrics in'em). I could go with Genesis' "For Absent Friends" or Tull's "Wond'ring Aloud".

Screw it ... :

The strings, the piano, and the vocal (yeah, everything on that song) blow me away every time.

I'm tasting the smell
of toast as the butter runs.
Then she comes, spilling crumbs on the bed
and I shake my head.
And it's only the giving
that makes you what you are.

Blows me away almost every time.

Jackson Heights' song "Since I Last Saw You" from 'King Progress' is not bad.

"Life's A Long Song" by Jethro Tull.
He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

I'd go for that one too. I'm surprised we got to page 6 before anyone picked it
