Scared Bunny biography
SCARED BUNNY is the moniker chosen by Canadian musician Vlad Skokovich for his solo productions, which he started working on when his former band 'Preacher Hopkins' Speed Disorder' disbanded.

Artists like 'Ash Ra', 'Tangerine Dream' and 'Pink Floyd' were comparisons made when the first Scared Bunny production "Disturbia" was released in 2003; and for the follow-up release "Rockwood" from 2008 acts like 'Hawkwind' and 'Radiohead' were added to the list of notable influences to the music created.

WHY IS THIS ARTIST LISTED AT PROGARCHIVES:
On his SCARED BUNNY releases, Canadian musician Vlad Skokowich mix a distinct krautrock-influenced sound with elements from punk, metal and ambient music; and more often than not add liberal amounts pf psychedelic twists to the compositions to convey dark and at times sinister moods and emotions related to issues like fear and paranoia.

— First review of this album —
3 stars This sophomore album from Canadian artist Vladimir Skokovich - aka Scared Bunny - is really something else.

Mixing influences from krautrock with 70's psychedelic garage rock, the result is some sort of post-punk related material with minimalistic themes, distorted noises and melodic yet psychedelic themes mixed haphazardly together in a mix that sounds deliberately low-fi at times. From the pure synth avant-garde of Roswell Black Box to the lush and mellow final tune In Vain; the last of these with an annoying synth whine added, to the more clear cut punk oriented Swirldown, there's a great variety to styles to be found here - all of them in tunes that to a greater or lesser degree can be described as weird.

Some tunes are interesting while others are more of a so-so effort - but the experimentation seems to be the important aspect of this one; and liberal-minded kraut fans looking for a release taking this genre forward and a few steps towards weirdness should enjoy this one.

Thanks to windhawk for the artist addition.
