Equality.. I have to ask.. Katy Perry? Not being a jerk, just found it odd. Kinda awesome seeing Katy Perry right under Van Der Graaf Generator on a last list though!

Fantastic albums, but PtS combined with Bath and LYBM leaves KD in the dust, IMO.

I would take Part the Second over everything else I've heard from either.

Her debut as Katy Perry is one of my favorite albums of all time.

That's awesome, and shows that you have a pretty broad taste that even the most pretentious self loving music on Earth couldn't hinder. Heck, I like Christina Perri..

I do love how growls makes everything the auto winner for you As I've said many times, motW for me. Now I like Kay Dot for sure, but maudlin is just brilliant. Part the Second, though it took me a while to finally listen, is an album I can listen to any time any where any mood and it's wonderful.

I actually think that Part the Second is one of Driver's weakest albums. It's pretty in many areas, but can be tad cheesy and boring.

Hm did anyone try out Driver's solo album? I'm listening to it right now for the first time and am enjoying it quite a lot.

I've never listened to it, but I've read that it makes Kayo Dot seem accessible.

^You could say that. I get the feeling that it would make an excellent sound track to a scary film, but someone would have to make a scary enogh film for it first.

So far I've failed to be very impressed by anything I've heard from either group - I've tried both on multiple occasions, and I have Coyote and Part the Second (who doesn't have that one? ) but to be honest neither would get more than a 3 star rating from me at the time being. No vote.
|
I know the feeling, but then it suddenly clicks, so don't worry, you got your whole life in front of you And on the poll, I have 2 albums of each band which isn't enough to vote. Also, I don't see how Part The Second is a MatW album given how little it has to do with the earlier albums under that name...
