... I accidentally used the wrong front cover picture, and the wrong spelling of the album title. Please delete

I added the correct one. Thanks.

In general it's not a good trick - we've noticed long ago that after such changes "Buy music (eBay, Amazon)" section continues to offer the previous album.

Looks OK in case of that (I suupose pretty rare) LOCKWOOD album, but deletion is a better way..

I renamed the album. I don't have the ability to change bios but I think it's ok to just add this sentence on Lockwood's page:

Album "Jazz Rock" which Didier LOCKWOOD recorded in 1976 with his brother Francis can be found under Volkor.

If your own info (http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=7952):

"VOLKOR was an overlooked band formed in 1976 which included musicians from such zeuhl bands as MAGMA; unusual line-up didn't feature electric guitars but instead was led by Didier LOCKWOOD on violin, his brother Francis LOCKWOOD on piano and out of other known names was Patrick GAUTHIER (from MAGMA and WEIDORJE) on one of the synthesizers. This line-up only recorded one album under the name Jazz Rock in 1976 which was reissued by Musea in 1996 as a self-titled album (some versions were credited under LOCKWOOD's name)"

is correct I think it's worth to do the following:
1. Change VOLKOR album title to "Jazz Rock (aka Volkor)".
2. Delete "Jazz Rock" album from LOCKWOOD discography.
3. Add links on LOCKWOOD page to VOLKOR and vice versa.

I'll just paste what I said in JRF genre thread:

Now a mistake was made, and I guess I should say here and then head to duplicated entries or someplace. Recently we added Volkor which was one of bands Didier Lockwood was in, and sure enough, that album by Volkor is under Didier Lockwood's discography.  The LP was released sometimes under Lockwood and sometimes under Volkor, as I understand it, the new reissues are mostly under Volkor.

So should the artist be removed or just that one album from Lockwood's page or what?

Don't know if this is the right thread to report mp3s but anyways; Phideaux has I think, two identical mp3s for Chupacabras (that is Okay intro+Chupacabras):

Easy Livin(Bob) directed me here after asking him similar questions the other day. What moved me to message him was seeing IQ's debut that has been re-issued with bonus material listed seperately in the box set/complilations section. A little confusing when this info of the new version could have been added to the original entry, but i can appreciate that people who have reviewed the original want to talk about the new version and bonus material. Still doesn't this open a whole can of worms ?  Ian already mentioned ELP's debut that has been re-mixed with bonus tracks etc and you can add Caravan's In The Land Of Grey And Pink, and Aqualung and all of King Crimsons early records. I'm okay which ever way this goes but there might need to be some sort of policy but as Bob said as quoted by Ian it's a tricky thing.

^^ I love the track list:
1. Track 1 (0:00)
2. Track 2 (0:00)
3. Track 3 (0:00)
4.Track 4 (0:00)
5. Track 5 (0:00)
6.Track 6 (0:00)
7. Track 7 (0:00)
8. Track 8 (0:00)

Total Time 0:00

And the album added to 2 artists' pages.

I'll update the info and send PMs to Easy Livin (ask him to delete the second entry) and to the guy who makes such brilliant additions. Evil Smile

Currently on the home page there is a duplicated review of the same album added to two artists discographies by the reviewer. Apart of deciding to which artist adding it, I think the reviewer would deserve a PM by an admin. Btw, from the reviews the album sounds interesting.

Thanks, obviously it's a duplication.

It seems it's rather belongs to Eno discography than V/A.
I'll send PM to Easy Livin (who reviewed it under V/A) and ask him to make a decision.

1. I see on discogs.com that the album released in 1969.
2. I've sent PM to Guldbamsen and he reposted his review.

Asked Easy Livin to delete the duplication. Gone now.

^ Sounds the most optimal solution at least to me. Handshake If this plan is executed, I'll update the International Harvester bio with hyperlinks and capitals on last names to the biography text.

^ Let's sum it up.

We have 4 bands consisting of the same members:
1. PÄRSON SOUND (Proto-Prog) http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2573
2. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER (Psychedelic/Space Rock) http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=3006
3. HARVESTER (Indo-Prog/Raga Rock) http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=5925
4. TRAD GRAS OCH STENAR (Psychedelic/Space Rock) http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2809

If it was decided to consider them different bands, often of different genres, we have one duplicated album:
1. HARVESTER "Hemåt" (1970): http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=30877 (0 reviews, 6 ratings).
2. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER "Hemåt" (1969): http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=15493 (1 review, 4 ratings).

The cover reads"Hemåt" is "Harverster" (not "International Harvester") album:

Now we need:
1. Correct release year (1969 or 1970).
2. Ask the reviewer (Guldbamsen) to re-post his review here: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=30877.
3. When he reposts it ask admins to delete INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER "Hemåt" album: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=15493.

OK?

Hi,
I quess this has to be a result of lack in information flow.
The case was discussed here, my entry as final post.
The band was evaluated in the psych team of that time, and added by me to psych list as artist id 3006.
As a resolution proposal, if the aritsit is seen mutually as more fitting to raga rock, why not look what extra information entry 5925 holds, merge that to the older band page with more albums + video, and possibly change the genre of the band, with coordination of relevant team members?

On Hemåt, there are no reviews on 5925 page, but there is 1 review on 3006 page, and also 4 reviews on "Sov Gott Rose-Marie" album, not listed to 5925 version.

Hopefully a reasonalbe solution will be found. Smile
