^ Mayer, I know I said I'd just trust your timings from now on, but I looked at various webpages for this album and found that there are some quite marked differences on a few tracks.

Most streaming sites are within a second of those digital album timings shown above for all tracks, so I'd be interested to know where you got your timings from. I've left the album as it is, without any timings, for the time being.

An EP not studio
Leon Alvarado himself describes it as a mini-album, which I guess equates to EP, it's an EP on Spotify, and there are two versions on Discogs - one described as an EP, the other as a mini-album.

I'll leave the move for the E&O Team to take care of, just to be sure they also agree.

With its 23-minutes length I tend to agree with Mayer and Leon Alvarado. Thanks, moved to EPs.

You need to input the video URL in this format, Eugene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16dK_vENHqQ.

There are three typos in this short biography which could do with being edited out: Echorec.

Current text, with typos highlighted in red and underlined:

A UK-based uniti ECHOREC. were founded as a progressive rock / neo-symph / post-rovk / prog-metal trio by Julian KIRK (voices, guitars, keyboards), Brad McGINTY (bass, voices), and Jake AUBREY (drums, percussion), inspired by authentic progressive rock bands like Rush, Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, Animals As Leaders, Dream Theatre, Big Big Train, or Porcupine Tree. Their debut album "The Island" was released upon February 29, 2020.

Edit: Short update to biography while you are editing the page:

The band became a four-piece shortly after the release of the debut album, with Alex ADAMS joining on keyboards in the early spring of 2020 to allow Julian KIRK to concentrate on guitar and vocals. Taiba HORPIN replaced Brad McGINTY on bass in February 2025, and the band is now working on album #2.

You could also mention in the original part of the bio that they were formed in 2015.

Choice of more recent band photos:

^ November 2021

^ February 2025

The band's first album 'The Island' was also released on vinyl (https://burningshed.com/store/planegroovy/echorec_the-island_blue-double-vinyl, https://www.discogs.com/release/20442976-Echorec-The-Island):

The vinyl release also contained a bonus track:

1. Calling of the Waters (0:30)
2. Safe at Home (9:34)
3. The Island (5:48)
4. Winds of Time (7:25)
5. Darling, I (5:37)
6. Flown the Nest (6:19)
7. Seasons Change (4:12)
8. The Lamb Returns (17:19)

Total Time 56:44

9. Overture (Bonus Track, Vinyl Only) (9:35)

- Julian Kirk / voices, guitars, keyboards
- Brad McGinty / bass, voices
- Jake Aubrey / drums, percussion

With:
- Robert Sanders / additional keyboard solo (5)
- Alex Adams / additional keyboard solo (9)

Digital album self-released February 29, 2020
2LP Plane Groovy - PLG092 (October 1, 2021, UK)

E&O Team: Thanks, David, done.
Except mentioning the album #2 in the bio, because in case of its release words "the band is now working" become senseless

Hello,

There's an empty slot on the list of NEW ARTISTS ADDED (no. 24):

https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=12972

Maybe someone could use it.

The album in PA credited to Jaco Pastorius IS NOT A JACO PASTORIUS album! It is a Paul Bley album. The 42-year old veteran keyboard maestro had invited the three 20-something future superstars to New York City during the summer of 1974 to record with him--using HIS compositions (as well as those of his now ex-wife, Carla) at Soho's Blue Rock Studios. Paul is the leader and truly the star of this album--despite the fact that it wasn't considered for release until Jaco Pastorius and Pat Metheny's sudden burst into fame.

Please correct this egregious and disrespectful error by re-assigning this album to Paul Bley's contributions to Jazz-Rock Fusion:

Pastorius / Metheny / Ditmas / Bley (1976: Improvising Artists, Inc.)

Welcome back Bartek! Hadn't seen you around for over a year. I am due to add Pryzme to Crossover as soon as I have a free hour or two (I need to create a biography first), so I'll make use of that spare page if nobody else has.

The PA album ID is https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=20782, and its original title was apparently 'Pastorius / Metheny / Ditmas / Bley', with a different cover to the one we have at the moment. RYM credits it to all four of them, but we can't move it to Paul Bley on PA because he doesn't have a page here - we only have only his former wife Carla Bley.

Here's the master page for the album on Discogs.

The album needs some editing for sure, but I don't see where else we could accomodate it, since the only other member of the band currently on here is Pat Metheny.

Sorry, but because of 2 reasons I can't re-assign the album:
1. Paul Bley is not included (at least yet) on PA as a separate artist.
2. In case of such albums they are assigned on PA to the artist pointed out first on the cover.

Your review explains who initiated this record. I think that's enough.

No, it wasn't me who updated this. I would have said so if I'd done it, and also pointed out the typo in the last track (Bonus Truck) - which whoever updated the album has automatically corrected.

Didn't change the cover because there are two 1976 releases and it's not clear which one is earlier.

^ I'd use the cover of the first release listed on the Discogs master page for the album, which is https://www.discogs.com/release/1064011-Jaco-Pastorius-Pat-Metheny-Bruce-Ditmas-Paul-Bley-Pastorius-Metheny-Ditmas-Bley. That's also the cover that Wikipedia shows, as well as being the one shown on Jaco Pastorius's own official website.
