The Wiki article on The Doors is so well documented (90 plus sources, including books & articles)  and so much detailed that I use its album credits for my personal DB, merely out of trust on its authors.
Do you fancy me posting them here, attending I didn't go through all the sources to check the info and I dare to suppose you wouldn't too ? (Nevertheless I read some and always confirmed the accuracy of citations)
Thanks

I don't know whether it's worth the time and effort. In general it's a hell lot of a job - stereo and mono versions, 40th anniversary mixes, surround mixes, guest musicians.
If you'd like to do the job, please use only the info you can confirm.

For example, Wiki article about the Doors debut album (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Doors_(album)) reads:
Additional musicians
  • Larry Knechtel (uncredited) – bass guitar on "Light My Fire", "Soul Kitchen", "Twentieth Century Fox", "Back Door Man", "I Looked At You" and "Take It as It Comes"
Before adding this I prefer to know where this info is taken from.

Another example, "Strange Days" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strange_Days_(album)):
Looks like a bullsh*t. Jim Morrison was whatever but a Moog player. I remember in his book "Light My Fire" Ray Manzarek wrote that they invited some guy with Moog to recording sessions, but because then, in 1967, Moog synths had no memory it was almost impossible to reproduce sounds the band liked. So very little of Moog was used for the album and Moog parts were not played by Jim.

Thus, even if "the Wiki article on The Doors is so well documented", not all its points can be trusted.

Thanks for the feedback, insightful as always, that's why I keep bothering you Big smile
Now seriously, in the light of you comment gonna put this in the projects drawer (folder, these days) and see if the future brings the time and will to do it properly (some reading and research clearly needed).

- Sandy Denny / vocals, acoustic & 12-string acoustic guitars, organ , piano, harpsichord
- Ian Matthews / vocals, congas
- Richard Thompson / vocals, lead electric & acoustic guitars, piano, accordion, mandolin , sitar (3), slide guitar (14)
- Simon Nicol / 6-string & 12-string electric & acoustic guitars, electric autoharp, electric dulcimer, backing vocals
- Ashley Hutchings / bass, backing vocals
- Martin Lamble / drums, percussion, violin, tabla, footsteps

With:
- Clare Lowther / cello (3)
- Bruce Lacey / noises from his mechanical machines (2)
- Kingsley Abbott / coins (4), backing vocals (11)
- Paul Ghosh / backing vocals (11)
- Andrew Horvitch / backing vocals (11)

- Pete Ross / harmonica (13)

Track 4 recorded Live at St Peter's church, Westbourne Grove.

Track 14 recorded Live for BBC Radio's Symonds On Sunday Show (9th February 1969).

Tricky one, you'll have to go through several sources to get it right: mandolin is doubtful; the fun credits coins & footsteps is up to you; the sitar can briefly but clearly be heard and RT explicitely acknowledges its use in an interview

E&O Team: Thanks, done.
If mandolin is doubtful, its absence is no less doubtful too, so I didn't delete it.

^ Oh, sorry. I've erroneously marked your initial post as "done".

Now I see there are questions.
Your suggestion:
Originally posted by IHUERTAS IHUERTAS wrote:

Correction:

Line-up / Musicians

- Oscar Belío / keyboards and vocals
- Toño Cruz / guitar and vocals
Mikel Torés Valverde / electronic drums
Jose Mari Aguirrezabala / bass, wind and voice

- Oscar Belío / keyboards and vocals
- Toño Cruz / guitar and vocals
- Josemari Aguirrezabala / bass, wind and voice
- Mikel Torés / electronic drums

Differences marked with red.

Now I've changed the info according to Bandcamp and discogs. But it's still not clear:
1. Josemari or Jose Mari Aguirrezabala?
2. Mikel or Mikli (according to discogs) Torés? Where the last name Valverde is taken from (source)?

You don't agree?
Maybe I'm becoming too obssessed with this kind of precisions, you just let me know if it's the case, OK?Geek

E&O Team: Thanks, it's OK to make it more precise.
Discogs http://www.discogs.com/artist/3063580-Edition-Sp%C3%A9ciale lists 2 variations, Edition Speciale and Edition Spéciale, so I think it's not a crime to leave the name on PA as it is.

13. Pictures At An Exhibition (15:28) *

Total time 53:24

* Track 13 is from a partial studio re-recording with orchestra in 1993 (omitting The Old Castle,Blues Variation, The Curse of Baba Yaga & Nutrocker tracks) first released in the 1993 boxset "Return to the Manticore" and from then on as bonus track in several reeditions of the original live album.

I marked that post as "done".
But one point is not clear - are you sure 1993 extracts from "Pictures At An Exhibition" were recorded with an orchestra?

I don't see confirmations on "Return of the Manticore" page on discogs: http://www.discogs.com/Emerson-Lake-Palmer-The-Return-Of-The-Manticore/master/37739

I guess these extracts are the same as published as a bonus to "In the Hot Seat" album: http://www.discogs.com/Emerson-Lake-Palmer-In-The-Hot-Seat/release/1563006.
If we follow the link we see lots of programming and no mention of an orchestra.
I've listened to this track on my copy of "In the Hot Seat" and I can't tell for sure is it programming (seems more likely) or a real orchestra.

Thus - orchestra or programming?

P.S. Such unconfirmed details make many of your posts a subject to a time-consuming investigation, and our chances to handle all posts in this thread are pretty low.
