Gah, why?! Kansas is a fave but I hate that steaming pile of crap. Livgren himself now refers to it as Audio-Bludgeons. No One Together is a must but that was meant for the previous album.

Difficult to choose here between Defector and Duke.
In the end I went for Duke, but I enjoy both of them.
Ironically, although Permanent Waves is one of my least favourite Rush albums (because of the tiresome Spirit Of Radio) I would place it third here.
It's still better than most. ![Wink](http://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif)

I wouldn't choose anything from that list but probably sth like Tako - U Vreci za Spavanje Mo.Do. - La Scimmia...
Out of that list probably Duke because Nude is from 1981.

I think I may have jumped the gun a bit. I forgot that Mike Oldfield's QE2 was released in 1980. That's by far my fave of that year. It's also one of my faves from Oldfield in general but I think a lot of people don't like it, which is a real mistery to me.

But that's only because Picchio dal Pozzo's Abbiamo, Eskaton's
Ardeur, Zamla Mammaz Manna's Familjesprickor, Itoiz' Ezekiel., Art
Zoyd's Generation sans Futur, and the Art Bears' The World as it is
Today etc. aren't listed, right?
I think 1980 is a very good year for quality progressive albums (according to my tastes of course).

Had to give a shout to Drama, although that was a tough choice considering it was up against Duke, Permanent Waves and Smallcreep's Day. But I always loved that album, and wished that they had produced another album or two together.

I have always considered Peter Gabriel a GOD of dong writing and song singing! Every song on melt is beautiful, ensuring his Godlyness!
Rush would have won... but entre nous is quite foul, sorrey neil ![Unhappy](http://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley6.gif)
