Just a couple I think you can add for now that I saw were missing. :)

Clive Nolan--Alchemy
Fates Warning--A Darkness in A Different Light
Arena--The Rapture.
Ulver---Messe I.X--VI.X

I think the new Aryeon album: THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING will be great. :)

I've acquired a fair few releases from 13, but most of em aren't featured on PA.

Anyway these are:
Deafheaven - Sunbather
Steven Wilson - The Bird
Djam Karet - The Trip
Jaga Jazzist - Live with the Britten Sinfonia
Henry Fool - Men Singing

All of which are pretty goodThumbs Up
Looking very much forward to getting my hands on the new Guapo, Vespero, Ukandanz, Rhün, Sigur Ros, Setna, Mogwai and some others that I forget right now(probably for the best too!)

Not on PA:

Jon Hopkins - Immunity
Boards Of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest
The Knife - Shaking The Habitual
Primal Scream - More Light
Autechre - Exai
Unknown Mortal Orchestra - ll

The Deafheaven album turned out to be a miss. A heavy carbon copy of AlcestOuch
The new Ulver though is downright amazing! Unique fresh take on the Berlin School of electronics entwined with some modern classical strings and creepy dark ambient whiffs. Fantastic releaseClap
Still can't afford to buy the new Vespero and it bugs the hell out of meAngry

A couple of powerfulneo prog albums to go on my list
Spocks Beard - Brief Nocturnes and Endless Dreams
Sound Of Contact - Dimensionaut

I've got the Flower Kings album on order and I guess I may have to check out the Haken and Dream Theater albums.

I thought I would check the PA list of top symph albums for this year and I got this. Didn't know that Spocks Beard were even counted as 'symph'. In fact the the other album I mentioned as neo prog in my previous post is apparently' 'crossover'. Confused . I like them neverthelessTongue

Anyway the other albums on the list. Not a great year for Symph although I guess I have to check out that top album.

Fright Pig is good but not sure its should have that high a rating. Sounds like a prog metal band playing symphonic style music. Good fun. WIll go on my list for the year probably top five.

^^ looks like the year for symphonic Prog only.

I am really interested to see what the end poll results will be for this year. It's been an incredible year. My list is getting really long. I'll wait one more month then post the sucker and do progshine's incredible survey.

Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Richard. What do you think of the Magenta: The 27 club album? Anyways I'd be very interested to hear your top 10 for this year seeing as how I feel 2013 has been the bees knees for me thus far. :)

I generally buy top 100 stuff unless it is a favorite group, so everything in my collection is 4 or 5 star material.  PA deserves some credit for making it easy to find music I would enjoy.
  • Dream Theater
  • Sound Of Contact - Dimensionaut
  • Fates Warning - Darkness in a Different Light
  • The Tangent - Le Sacre Du Travail
  • Riverside - Shrine Of New Generation Slaves
  • Amplifier - Echo Street
  • Haken - The Mountain
  • Nemrud - Ritual
  • Spock's Beard - Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep
  • Comedy Of Errors - Fanfare & Fantasy
  • Big Big Train - English Electric (Part Two)
  • Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories

I need to give it  more listens. I respect Rob Reed a lot , am slightly in love with ChristinaEmbarrassed, think Chris Fry is a major talent who deserves more recognition then he gets (his solo album is wonderfull) while Andy Edwards is one the best drummers. This should be a cracking album really but I'm not getting it as yet.

An amazing album of 10's new prog revolution and for sure the best Psychedelic/Progressive Rock release this year :  PSICOMAGIA's self-titled debut http://psicomagiamusic.bandcamp.com/album/psicomagia

It changes all the time these days....
Cool you dig that Hopkins album, I'm completely won over by it as well. Reminds me a lot of Orbital's 1996 release In Sides. May wanna check it out if you're on the look out for some more electronic musicThumbs Up

The Mountain by Haken was good, but I didn't really like The Raven That Refused To Sing that much. I don't think it should be on the top of the Crossover Prog list above albums like Crime Of The Century, Iamthemorning's debut, and Procol Harum's Shine On Brightly
