More great additions:
Tractor in psych/space
Alpes & Catherine Ribeiro in psych/space
Divine In Sight in art-rock
35007* in space/psych (this is one great band, borrows some moods from post rock , but overall a great space band. Try their album Liquid and Phase V).
Comets on Fire* in psych-rock (very good space rock band - thanks Ruben for correcting me, I was thinking of something else while writing this and got mixed up Embarrassed)
Psychic Paramount, The* in space/psych
Mammatus* in space/psych
Laura* in post rock (their Radio Swan is Down is one hell of a post rock album and as Chamberry says one of the best of the genre in 2006).

Odd Venegoni & Co are labelled here as 'Italian Symphonic Prog'. From the one and only album I have, Rumore Rosso - btw coincidently playing a track on Thursday night's radio show - I note from their liner notes they are part of the 'Turin Jazz Rock Society'. And certainly the album doesn't sound symphonic rock - is this album a one-off  musical experiment or more typical of their output?

Dick, the name of the subgenre is not the appropriate one. Venegoni & Co. were put there because they belong to the movement known as PRI or RPI (Italian Progressive Rock), which flourished in my home country in the Seventies. If you want to know more details about that, check the blog entry by Andrea Parentin in the Blog section.

First of all, you don't say which bands, so how are we supposed to know to who do you refer to? There are MANY suggestions made to PA, so konwing of who you talk about is hard, if you don't mention names.

Second, yes this is a problem we are currently dealing with and trying to come up with a new addition procedure. We apologize for the long wait and if you want a reliable answer you should PM the Genre Team responsible of the genre to which the bands you suggested is responsible of; Or to the Bands Submissions Team.

Just a reminder, this thread is to post newly added bands and discuss them if you wish, not to suggest new ones and that sort. There is a whole section of the forum just for this  Smile

Thanks

Terribly sorry, guys, I was under the impression that bands submited would be taged to the one who submits them. I was of course refering to Banda Do Casaco, Quarteto 1111 and Saga.
I was just curious about the time these things ordinarily take. And again, I apologize if this is not the correct place to post these questions.

No harm done. Smile
I just wanted to point you out to the best sources so you can find an answer which should be given (this thread may not be read by those that received those bands and a PM works much better). So either the bands submission team or the respective genre team.
If you opened a thread about those somewhere in the Suggest bands section, you can also Bump them.
