You apparently don't watch the Lions very often.

Nothing like playing completely moribund teams to boost confidence.

Congrats lions fans...Lombardi was fired! Hopefully they can regain some of that explosive offense they had at some point.

Well...hopefully it will turn out well. I'm glad he agreed to an incentive laden contract. Any help for the Gmen's passrush is a good thing. He can't be much worse then those full fingered people they have now!

Big Ben is back today, but not real sure how healthy he is, typically does not play great after returning from an injury.  Big test against the Bengals, need a win against them.

Giants and Saints could be an interesting one, never know which team will show up.

Looking forward to Packers and Broncos too, both defenses are good.

I'm so happy I didn't wake up early for the Lions game.  It might be time to hit the reset button on the entire team, coaching staff, front office, owners, all of it.  It's an uncontrollable dumpster fire at this point.

Did you see the petition to have the Lions' passports revoked while they were in London?

I was up in time for the game but chose not to watch it.  In a moment of curiosity I switched the game on around noon to see how it was going, so that they were losing 31 to 3 and went on my merry way.

The only thing remotely close to being a Lions fan is being a Browns fan.  Maybe.  Otherwise, it's a unique experience. LOL

Good news!

Eli throws 6 TDs and no picks

Bad news

Giants still lose

52-49 wowCryAngryDead

Well, the defense has been like a house of cards, with a very flimsy bottom, and we've played some not so great teams, so was wondering when there may be a collapse. I was nervous about the Saints but my fears actually were surpassedLOL

The raiders are looking more and more legit. Carr may be the real deal. The Jets defense is no joke at all, and already over 100 rush yards and 4 passing TDs, nuts.
Arizona keeps rolling. Carson stays healthy, I seem em going far.

Tonight is the biggie of course. I honestly expect a defensive battle to break out.

The Seahawks are so bad. I'm honestly not sure what they do well at this point.

Not sure what happened with the Pack last night.  No energy.  Didn't even look motivated to play.

The Browns may be 2-6, but they are a good 2-6.

And the Bengals at 7-0, I don't think anybody saw that coming. What a wild season already, and a huge game against Denver coming up in several weeks, if we can continue winning ballgames.

They are so bad that they are 3 in total defense in the NFL. I am sure they do that well. Their field goal kicker is 18 of 19. I would worry more about the eaglets, sorta ho hum.

Seahawks are certainly no great shakes offensively but once you get past the undefeated teams there's a big block of flawed teams who'll be scrapping all year.

One of the announcers yesterday mentioned that the Seahawks traded their center Max Unger, who has been responsible for reading the defense and making adjustments before the play.  That alone could be an important reason why their offense looks so ineffective this year.  It also lessens my respect for Russell Wilson, as the QB on most teams have that responsibility.
Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

No doubt Unger is missed and the O line is mediocre at best.

I am not as deeply immersed into the NFL this year as in years past, but seriously we can just hand the trophy to the New England Patriots right now. I hate them cause they have Brady and my Jets suck; but I respect the heck out of Belichik's strategies (not that unwashed stinking sweatshirt of his.)
This guy has like 6 offensive lineman and just keeps switching them in and out all game, so they are still fresh against any defense in the 4th quarter. How do you compete with that?
Answer: You don't.

Pats look very good, but I'm not convinced that the Broncos/Bengals aren't better. Broncos Def is the best unit in the NFL, you just need Peyton to be an above average qb for them to do real damage in the playoffs.

Bengals will fold like a cheap suit come primetime.  Broncos are a legit threat though.
