Like the Hawkwind album a lot, but Scheherazade is simply gorgeous.

I'd go with Scheherazade on this one, although the Hawkwind album rules too
Take me down, to the underground
Won't you take me down, to the underground
Why oh why, there is no light
And if I can't sleep, can you hold my life

Renaissance for me.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Long time between drinks with Hawkwind. I was never a huge fan but I was and am of Michael Moorcock so I always wanted to like Hawkwind but but but they just didn't quite hit the spot. Listening again now and well, they have aged well. Then again so have Renaissance though I'm not sure about the vocals and I wonder why I'd rather listen to this than e.g. Celeste's glorious Principe di un Giorno. Then again I'm thrououghly enjoying the so called epic. Hard one but PtooeyFart it is.

Renaissance, Scheherazade and Other Stories.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Hawkwind is cooler, but in this case I have to admit I'm more of a Renaissance man.

Scheherazade.

Kryptonite? Nah, she's a diamond Embarrassed Renaissance for me, one of the best concerts I attended this year Thumbs Up

Where did you happen to catch them? Have been tracking the Europe/Israel shows; I swear she's got vocal cords made of tungsten or something like that.
Gouveia, Portugal. Here's the full concert:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_eFdLs3WpI&list=PLXQTYzITwJHjuMJ2VwJk42sTmdzgPjrcA She surprised everyone right from the start with Prologue, she still has a great voice Smile

Wonderful!  Yup, it was a great show, have seen the clips.  Eagerly waiting for the DVD from the London show.

I find strange that Madcap has a higher rating than Saucerful here Ermm I like weirdness, but he already was out of his mind, it's sad and I'm not able to enjoy. I think it would make a good anti-drug campaign though.

LOL
You may be on to something there.

Well that's what makes this place interesting
I'd be a real drag if we all were listening to the same stuff.
I think we have a very broad bench here on PA, which probably has something to do with the many different age groups and cultures represented.

Btw I think most folks would agree with you on Syd. There are a couple of die hard fans on PA, but I think the majority thinks he was a tad too weird for his own good. Not me though!

Yeah I know I'm in the minority on that one Samuel.

Scheherazade is beautiful, and Hawkwind still has to grow on me, so...
