Couldn't disagree more with you on this one, Eugene: Besides Wiki being more informative, we have to clarify this:

German language: 95m native speakers
Portuguese language: 250m native speakers

It's not the case of being my "mother tongue" (I also speak German, incidentally), the numbers speak for themselves !
And in addition Wiki page can always get a translation in other languages (as it already has in Dutch) and I can't see the same hapening with the page you favoured.

As for translation, online translation is not a big novelty these days.
