that first release was never officially released. There's only something like 1000 copies out there, i think. So basically you have all their studio albums (all the songs on GHvol3 are better live anyway, especially since there was only one guitarist at the time of recording. Also some of the songs are on The Bottom Half)

You need more shows. Live At The Murat is their only official live album, so i believe there are some overdubs, but it sounds fantastic! but i have 4 live shows besides that, and man, they dont need overdubs, it's so good.

i like PT too, i was just joking. Though a marathon (chronologically) might feel weird, as they changed their sound dramatically. I personally can only listen to one of their albums (older or newer) and be done. I dont think I'd enjoy a marathon of their music.

The live album that I have is Live At The Fox Theater from March 29th, 2003.  I get weekly emails from them for their website where they sell download versions of every single one of their concerts.  I've not downloaded any yet, but I am tempted to do this one of these days.

I find ambient music to be extremely boring, and that is what I am referring to.  Stuff like Voyager and Metanoia are just awful.

I have never ran a Marathon before, but I just finished a 15K.  Of the bands listed above the one that would help me jog/run the best would likely be Talking Heads, or possibly ZZTop.

Wait...  lemme re-read the original post again... Ermm

you must dig Steve Roach, Brian Eno, Robert Rich, Patrick O'Hearn or instrumental Clannad.

no, no, and have not heard the other 3.  I've only heard really small doses of Steve Roach and Brian Eno, but both left me waiting for them to be over so I could move on to something more lively.

And it appears that I will be listening to Porcupine Tree's discography, or at least most of it as there are one or two albums that I don't have from earlier on.

Thank you everyone for your votes.  I have now begun a Porcupine Tree marathon.

Just finished the PT marathon.  I guess I will now do a The Who marathon, although I don't have The Who Sings My Generation, so I will have to start with A Quick One.
