And honestly I'm really digging out the new Floyd, it is pretty much how I pictured it to be, I mean I didn't expect Floyd to reinvent the genre so I'm pleased for those couple few listens. I always loved Division Bell or the last Gilmour album so this one came very naturally to me, a worthy closure I guess.

I'm not a lyrics person, I did not noticed that quality about Caravan myself for example I'm enjoying what I'm listening though
That was my approach too and also really like those two albums as well. They didn't sound this spacey in a long time Let's see how's Gilmour's solo album next year...

I'm not a lyrics person myself, I meant the music has a lot of humor in it, kinda like Zappa for example.

Jaga Jazzist - A Livingroom Hush (Really cool music Audun! Definitely not plastic ) Herbie Hancock - Sextant (A natural transition between Crossings and Head Hunters and a really good one)
Glad you like them.
Regarding Jaga, I haven't read or heard anyone else describe their sound as plasticy, so I guess it was just me.

I wouldn't use the word plastic-y, but they are a little too ... orderly, polite and understated band to fully engage in the creative chaos of fusion, IMO. At the same time, their live record with Britten Sinfonia is a 5-star classical concerto.
Also, are you familiar with the Bananfluer Overalt EP, where they put an interesting twist on some of their tunes?

Good to see the cow spinning
I listened to the Chicago third album, it has quite a few avant brass sections which reminded me of Geesin's orchestrations on AHM, so I dug it out to spin. Still love Mother Fore/Funky Dung section. Quality, dreamy Floyd.
