Possibly even more controversial than The Final Cut and Momentary Lapse Of Reason, which, respectively, are Waters and Gilmour solo recordings, which just happen to have the Pink Floyd name on the albums. The Division Bell really feels like a Pink Floyd album I think and what while it certainly lacks the edge of the Waters albums, it makes up for in textural beauty that only Gilmour and Wright could provide. I think of it as a soothing balm and, while I'll always prefer the Waters-led albums over these Gilmour-led albums, The Division Bell is still a gorgeous album and a feast for the ears and shows just how talented the rest of the band were without Waters' barking and hollering.

Very nicely putClap I would counter the Waters/Gilmour solo's though. They are and always will be Pink Floyd albumsSmile I think The Final Cut is such an excellent production, it gets better with age and just shows what a genius Water's is and MLOR, well a slight mish mash of contributors but an incredible release all the same

Bill will always be Bill, a real groundbreaker who was a real breath of fresh air in the 90s, a time when standup comedy seemed all but dead.

Unlike many of our British prog brethren, I am quite the fan of AOR.  I saw Journey, the Steve Miller Band, and Tower of Power live last night, and find myself in a Journey mood this morning.

I'm a big fan of AOR myself, although with Journey, I have to say I kind of liked their pre-Steve Perry stuff better. I liked the rockier songs fronted by Steve Perry, but some of their ballads were just (Faithfully, Open Arms, etc.)
