Very sad news. We have lost a true elder statesman of music.

The website says "It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jon Lord, who suffered a fatal pulmonary embolism today, Monday 16th July at the London Clinic, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Jon was surrounded by his loving family."

Well, 71 years isn't exactly a short life for a rock musician, all things considered..........but still far too soon.  He will be missed.

Sad news indeed.  It sounded pretty dire when they announced that he had pancreatic cancer, but I was hoping he would beat it.  RIP.
