Progressive Biography

Hello!

I am Modrigue from France, born 1980. My family has always been fond of music. I was in between my father's classical music and my mother pop-rock albums. Thus, which music is the child of classical music and rock? Yes, you guess it, progressive rock.

My first shock was PINK FLOYD's "Wish You Were Here" in 2000 during my studies. I could not imagine such a music exists and that it was made in the 70s. Then I became greedy until I know every Floyd's albums by heart in one month. Next was TANGERINE DREAM's "Ricochet". Nowadays I always look for new sonic landscapes evoking imaginary stories in my mind when listening. I'm always looking for a new ear-shock!

My personal tastes goes from psychedelic / space rock (my first love) to progressive electronic, passing by krautrock, metal, symphonic prog, jazz and other non-progressive genres. My favorite prog bands are (in no special order):

Pink Floyd
Tangerine Dream
Hawkwind
Rush
Kraftwerk
Ozric Tentacles
Amon Duul II
Eloy
Porcupine Tree
Soft Machine
Genesis
Dream Theater
