Progressive Biography

I first got into Yes in 1987/88. Among my other favorite prog artists: Klaus Schulze, the Beatles, Wendy Carlos. Non-prog: They Might Be Giants, Fela Kuti, Hall & Oates, Prince.

Ratings

Here are the general guidelines I follow when rating albums and singles here.
either insulting or just bad (I try to avoid using this rating.)
★★an OK album with some substantial shortcoming; or a good single
★★★a good album, warts and all; or very good single
★★★★a special album; possibly for historical reasons; or a truly great single
★★★★★a great album all the way through; I never skip a song
