This is the only Califfi album in the progressive area. Coming from Florence, they were an underrated beat band in the sixties, but with a new line-up realized "Fiore di metallo". Califfi play a melodic prog, with pleasant lyrics and sporadic hard-rock touch here and there. The album is good enough, and imo the best tracks are the opener "Nel mio passato", and the instrumental "Varius" and "Campane", featuring strong organ themes in a baroque style. Anyway, an interesting album for Italian Prog fans.
