3 stars I like DP. I really do. But I can not find so many positives about this album. The truth is, I really like the MK I. Gillan singing is the first problem for me. I don't like his voice. The next thing is Child In Time is de facto a cover of the group It's A Beutiful Day. Third - I don't think this album is prog at all. I like the tracks, but, the only one that makes me satisfied is Flight Of The Rat. And production of this album is very bad. It sounds like it was recorded in 67 and not 70. But thats only my opinion, I know many people, for whom that DP album is the greatest of all times. Not for me. Sorry. And what's with that heavy metal thing? Black Sabbath is much heavier and if you want something really heavy and distorted check out thefirst High Tide lp. Although it's not that band album after all. It's just normal. Maybe my expectations were to high? 3 stars it is.
