5 stars A brilliant live album.

The band creates an atmosphere from the introduction (short taped song) to the end. They catch the listener and manage to keep him following the emotions created by their music. Even with songs about sorrow, melancholy or sadness, you feel well at the end of the album: smart music interpreted with so much feeling takes you on a trip which can only fill with wonder... so you might play this record regularly...

Since this time, the music of the band as evolved in a more energic way. So if you don't know Porcupine Tree, this is a good way of starting, but be aware this time is now completed. And if you discovered them with In Absentia or Deadwing, go on, you could be agreeably surprised of what they did for this more atmospheric periode.

If later you listen to older studio albums you'll understand how improved are the songs in this live: they were good, some excellent ; but joined together and played this way they really become an outstanding live performance !

Yes, it's a masterpiece! (The original 1CD edition as well as the complete 2CD edition...)
