SAVED BY YOU

This was one of the first thing I brought from Pendragon, I had heard the "Fly High Fall Far" single on tape before and I liked it. So when I saw this single at a cheap price, I brought it thinking it was musically as strong as "Fly High Fall Far" and I was wrong :(

The first song "Saved By You" is an insipid pop song that as nothing to do with prog or in that case neo-prog.

The second song "Lady Luck" is a commercial ballad that goes nowhere, not really prog music either.

"Chase The Jewel" is a good song and a prog one, finally ;)

The last song here is "Elephant Never Grow Old". Another mellow song but this time it's a prog song with a good guitar solo at the end.

It's a collectors item mostly, it's better to get the compilation "The Rest of Pendragon" because the entire single is include + you get other songs like those on the "Fly High Fall Far" single.

My rating of this single is two stars, one for "Chase The Jewel" and another for "Elephant Never Grow Old".
