2 stars This is a step backwards for Oceansize.

Effloresce, for me, was an awesome work, especially for a debut album. "Everyone Into Position" though, compared to its precessor, seems more like a debut album; lacks creativity and maturity in sound while taking a more "hard rocking" way.

The only track standing out is "Music For A Nurse", and rest is just accustomed rock music. I surely don't mean that Oceansize can't play well, in fact they're very good but there are plenty of similar music and albums around, I fail to see anything special in this record (very unlike "effloresce"). Maybe their debut raised the bar so high for me that I can't judge this one objectively, but anyhow I wouldn't give the highest rating.

I still have high hopes for their 3rd album; maybe with more creativity and surprises and less "alternative" sound. I think Oceansize are way more talented than "Everyone into position". 2 stars for this release.
