3 stars Well, as a debut album it is hopeful, but you couldn't guess which way Jethro Tuill music would take. In this album you can hear much blues and a few of rock, not prog rock yet. Some classical themes (if you look them in perspective), like Song for Jeffrey or Serenade for a Cuckoo. Great blues like My Sunday Feeling and One Day The Sun won't shine on you. In this moment, the leadership of Ian Anderson is still not strong, and the group seems to be just that:a group. I like this album. It has the freshness of the new and the simplicity of blues. If you look at the videos of this time, you look a group of young people making music with feeling, maybe not much technically, but sincerly.
