4 stars Blue Oyster Cult released this greatest hits album on February 8 of 2000. It is a good overview of the band's history, and contains most of the songs people of heard of, as well as others some may not have discovered. Te most beloved Blue Oyster Cult Songs are on it, form "Cities on Flame With Rock and Roll", "Godzilla", and of course, the albums namesake, and Blue Oyster Cults most well-known song-"(Don't Fear) The Reaper." This album is a good overview of the band's songs, and is more recommended than most greatest hits or compilations albums, since it points out highlights often lost between some of the band's less well-received work.

This is a good album, and I find myself listening to it often. The Blue Oyster Cult sound, the sound that created heavy metal is there, and old fans or new listeners should appreciate the album's collection, while finding what Blue Oyster Cult's sound was comprised of. Above all, all these songs from Blue Oyster Cult are fun and downright enjoyable to hear just about anywhere.
