SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND

Yep, this is one of the top 5 you grab when the house is burining down. I can't help but think what would happen if someone were to cover some of this material? Would young people (20 something crowd) listen? I have listened to this album at least 100 times and I still discover new bits of music that I did not pick up previously. It is that layered. Would the younger crowd want to listen about rival gangs in England? Or how about a lawnmower's inner thoughts? I think in this day of computerized dance "music", Selling England By the Pound requires too much thought, too much patience on the part of the listener. That's O.K. - I'm a patient person and I will enjoy my next 100 listens of Genesis' best album.

Oh, and another thing - "More Fool Me" is one of the album's strong points, not it's weakness. IMHO.
